Spring is in the air at Chaney's
We have been so busy at Chaney's preparing for a great season. We are doing concessions at Ballance Motorcross this weekend for the Loretta Lynn Invitational....what an experience if you are interested in bike racing. Even if you are not interested, such as me, I am facinated with the jumping and speed of the bikes.
Today we had our Celebrity Scoop Day between the hours of 12-3. This has to be my favorite day of the year to have the opportunity of getting to know our local "celebrities". What a great community we live in and what great local celebrities that we cherish as friends. Thanks to all of them in helping to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. We were blessed to have our children in attendance through out the day. Even Elizabeth dropped in with her Ag Economics Club from UK for a small tour with "Dad". As all parents, we strut like roosters when they are in our presence...especially those grandbabies!
We are busy preparing for next Sunday's Easter Egg Hunt. Last year we had approx. 700 people. We could not host a group of this size without the help of Hughes & Coleman. They supply 10,000 eggs and special thanks to our volunteers coming this year from Hughes & Coleman, WKU Honors College and our local Richpond/Woodburn 4-H club.
Check in again soon for more blogs. Debra Chaney (Mama Moo or is it the Dairy Queen?)
